Each spring freshman participants are selected through an application, essay, and interview process by the Coordinating Board and Program Administrators. Students are chosen on their potential for leadership, desire to learn, and passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
After induction, participants are required to attend a developmental retreat during the Spring semester. Educational seminars, and the remaining AASLI events occur during the following Fall semester. The AASLI program concludes in early December with a formal graduation and announcement of the new Coordinating Board. The program offers various incentives for meeting participation requirements.
