Administration

AASLI is administered through the efforts of the following:

Program Administrators - Professional staff in the Office of Greek Life and Department of Multicultural Services, who select the Coordinating Board, assist in selecting the participants, and oversee day to day operation of activities.

Administrator of External Affairs

The Administrator of External Relations will oversee the Coordinator (s) of Finance and Fundraising and the Coordinator of Marketing and Public Relations. This Administrator will serve as the point person to the external community of the program. This Administrator will serve as the primary contact person, along with the Staff Administrators, to the Texas A&M and College Station communities.

Katrina Gordon  
Administrator of Coordinator Activities

The Administrator of Coordinator Activites work will serve as a liaison between the Staff Administrators and the Coordinating Board, providing constant flow of information. Ensure timelines and priority dates are met and assist the Staff Administrator wherever needed. Serve as the direct line of contact, providing information on behalf of Staff Administrators in their absence.

Bennett Love, Jr.
Administrator of Academic Enhancement

The Administrator of Academics will work closely with the Coordinator of Academic Improvement in the Coordinator(s) of Educational Seminars to ensure continued academic enhancements of the program. In addition, this Administrator will be tasked with creating and sustaining an environment that values academic success; examples of strategies for this program include academic recognition programs and by serving as a role model of academic success.

Sade A. Dawson
Administrator of Internal Affairs

The Administrator of Internal Relations will oversee the Coordinator of Administrative Affairs in the Coordinator(s) of Social Development and Special Events. Overall, this Administrator is tasked with maintaining the internal structure in functioning of the program. This Administator should work closely with each participant to ensure that they are all achieving the proper balance of academic, social, and personal achievement in their lives.

Faculty Advisory Board - Committee of faculty providing feedback concerning current trends in leadership theory, organizational development, cultural identity, academic success strategies, and civic engagement. 
Coordinating Board - Group of students selected to interview, select, mentor, and assist in the development of AASLI participants.

Coordinating Board Requirements 
Be in good standing with the university.
Be a second year student or greater during the semester of application.
Have at least 42 hours by the close of the semester of application.

Expectations of Coordinators
Maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point ratio.

Maintain records for sophomore participants.

Coordinate AASLI curriculum and fundraising efforts.

Comply with AASLI Code of Ethics.

Attend regularly scheduled Coordinating Board meetings.

Coordinate mandatory service assignments.

Attend all AASLI programs.
